  • Drafting and reviewing contractual documents for a commercial bank in Kenya in connection with a project finance and take over valued at over Kes. 1B.
  • Advising the lender on facility and security documents in connection with a cross-border financing transaction of USD 1m, including reviewing security documents and conducting due diligence on the Borrowing Company.
  • Advising the lender in connection with the restructuring of a Kes. 200million facility to suit and accommodate the borrower’s business requirements, including variation of financing and security documents governed by the laws of Kenya.
  • Advising on and overseeing a realisation of a development in Kenya on behalf of a Commercial Bank, including overseeing the subdivision process and preparing sale and conveyance instruments.
  • Advising various banks in connection with their compliance obligations arising under the various laws and regulations enacted, and regulatory circulars issued by the Central Bank and other regulators from time to time.
  • Preparing and facilitating the execution of over two hundred Agreements for Lease in the various off plan developments being undertaken by real estate Developers and consequently unlocking significant revenues for the business.
  • Advised a South African client with a Kenyan affiliate on a copyright infringement claim for music distribution across Africa, empowering them to pursue legal action.
  • Conducting due diligence and preparation of a due diligence report over a company with respect to a credit facility for USD 100 Million being advanced by various credit lenders.
  • Provided legal advice and representation to an international client facing a custody and maintenance case at the Children’s Court in Nairobi.
  • Successfully representing families at the Kenya Medical Practitioners & Dentists Board and the High Court of Kenya where families have been aggrieved after the death of their relatives due to medical negligence by doctors and/or Hospitals.
  • Advising and conducting trainings for various clients in connection with Data Law issues, Compliance, Corporate Governance.
